Ali is a Brazilian with fascination for the ocean, basically, since birth. In fact, she has always been disappointed she was not born with a mermaid’s tail!
It is no surprise then that, after completing her biology degree, she became a dive instructor.

Some time later, she and her boyfriend at the time, decided to move to New Zealand with the aim of saving enough money to buy a yacht and sail the world! On returning to South America, unfortunately the relationship faded out, but the dream did not and so, following her nose and some Facebook inspiration, in May of 2017 she went to Tonga, in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.
Ali joined a crew of volunteers, aboard the sailing vessel Infinity, and spent 5 months as the Aquatic Leader of a charity foundation. It was there, literally floating around, that she met Steve and their story as a couple started with an obvious push  from the universe. This may become a book in the future 😉

What you see now – the new Walkabout Photos website and its blog – evolved after they realised how good they were as a team, and how similar were their dreams and projects.

Ali does a little bit of everything but she is focusing, mostly, on building the websites, writing and editing some of Steve’s posts, as well as filming some behind the scenes.
